Attorney Profiles

Shanks Leonhardt focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance defense, and insurance coverage. He is experienced in handling complex commercial and insurance coverage matters. Mr. Leonhardt also defends licensed professionals and advises parties on copyright and entertainment law issues. He has successfully represented parties at mediations, depositions, and various hearings before the federal and state courts in Arizona. 

Mr. Leonhardt earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University where he graduated with Honors in 2007. During law school, Mr. Leonhardt participated in moot court competitions for client counseling and oral argument. As an avid musician, Mr. Leonhardt also participated in programs such as the Volunteer Legal Assistance for the Arts designed to provide free legal services to artists and musicians. He was also a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Students Association and the Intellectual Property Students Association.
